About the Photographer
I was raised in Brighton, Michigan and attended Pinckney High. I started dabbling in photography in middle school, where I took a photography class. I enjoyed the class but due to other forces the seed lay mostly dormant until 2000. At that time I rediscovered the joy of photography when I purchased a Canon Rebel 2000. I started experimenting again with black and white photography. I fell in love all over again and soon decided it was time to pursue a more formal photography education. I enrolled in Washtenaw Community College's Photography Program. I also started attending some nature photography workshops. The workshops were taught by a fantastic couple named John and Barb Gerlach.
I have done portrait, still life and nature photography. I find my greatest joy to be nature photography. I enjoy the outdoors and photography, so it is a perfect combination. When I am photographing time seems to stand still, except when trying to catch a sunset! I hope you enjoy my images.
